You are the dancer and music is the inspiration for every move.
Join us in learning the basic elements of the ancient art of Belly Dance. Moving to the oriental beat is a great way to strengthen and tone the body, improve posture, gain flexibility, balance and build confidence, just to name a few benefits. This low impact form of dance is for everyone, whether you are looking for fun, fitness or artistic dance expression.
While in a Belly Dance class you will experience:

Belly Dance technique - we learn the fundamentals of a Belly Dance movement and then add complexity as students feel comfortable.
Drilling of movement and build into musical phrases also known as dance combinations to music. If time permits a short choreography will be learned.
Zumba is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements, creating a dynamic, exciting, exhilarating, and effective fitness system. A Zumba class combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body using an aerobic/fitness approach to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.
The Zumba program integrates some of the basic principles of aerobic, interval and resistance training to maximize caloric output, cardiovascular benefits, and total body toning. The cardio-based dance movements are easy-to-follow steps that include body sculpting, which targets areas such as gluteus, legs, arms, core, abdominals and the most important muscle in the body - the heart.
Students quickly learn that Zumba class is effective, exhilarating and that anyone can do it. Zumba is great for the mind, body and soul!
